Decades of Specialized Neurosurgical Experience

Our neurosurgeons have treated more than 50,000 patients in the 35 years since our practice opened and they are among the most well regarded neurosurgical specialists and subspecialists in the Northeast. Doctors Shahid and Batson are Chiefs of Neurosurgery at Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals, respectively. Dr. Sanderson has been an established Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at NYU Medical Center specializing in complex and minimally invasive neurosurgical procedures.

The newest addition to our team, Dr. Joshua Marcus, is an acclaimed Minimally Invasive and Endovascular Surgeon who has been recognized by Weill Cornell Medical College, where he completed his residency, and Memorial Sloan Kettering where he received advanced training in minimally invasive surgical techniques for brain and spinal cord tumors. Dr. Marcus is also an assistant clinical instructor in neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine.

Our Physician Assistants (PAs) are board certified through the American Association of Physician Assistants and trained through the Norwalk Hospital and Yale School of Medicine Physician Assistant Surgical Residency Program, which is considered one of the leading PA training programs in the country.
